Entry #2 - The Mortal Instruments

            Hello, my fellow Lexi's Corner fandom, good morning or afternoon! Today I thought I would talk about the book series that I have been reading, The Mortal Instruments. Let me start by giving you a little background information.   The main character Clary Fray searches for her missing mother which leads her into an alternate New York called the Downworld, filled with mysterious faeries, hard-partying warlocks, vampires, an army of werewolves, and the demons who want to destroy it all. She also finds herself juggling two boys- her best friend, Simon, for whom she's developing new feelings, and the mysterious Shadowhunter, Jace. She joins the secret world of the Shadowhunters and as she does, she discovers that rescuing her mother might mean jeopardizing everything the Shadowhunters work for.            Not only does the novel have a very interesting plot, but it also contains a very important theme. Entry #1- The Purpose of Blogs

     One form of writing includes writing blogs, just like this one. I love writing blogs because I feel like I can talk about whatever I want. There are times when I can write in a casual manner when talking about personal topics, and times when I can write in a professional manner when talking about serious topics. I did some research and read multiple blogs to get a feeling of how people write blogs and what they do to make their's unique.      On People.com, there is a blog posted on their about Kim Kardashian and her fashion sense. She arrived at the Met Gala in N.Y.C. wearing a leather ensemble from head-to-toe. One thing that I like about this blog is that it is short and gets straight to the point. The point that the author made was that Kim has always been bold with her style, and has even outdone herself once again. What I don't like about this blog is that it kind of has a bad connotation towards Kim's fashion sense, it makes her seem crazy for wearing that head-

Entry #0 - Introduction

Hello everyone! My name is Alexis Aguilar, but I go by Lexi. I am so excited to start my blog on here called Lexi's Corner ! I am 18 years old and I have lived in Arizona my whole life. I plan on transferring to Washington State University in 2 years though because one, I need to get out of this heat, and 2 it is a very great school. I live with my 2 older sisters, 2 dogs, and mom. We are all extremely close and I honestly can not imagine my life without them, but there are times when I want to move out and get a place of my own you know? Here is a picture of me and my sisters: The oldest, Angelica is on the left, I am in the middle, and the middle child, Anissa is on the right. My parents are divorced but I am just thankful that my parents keep a cordial relationship so that they can keep co-parenting.
